Leaf Cutter Dumping Pod - 2024 Version

This is our new, 2024 version, leaf cutter dumping pod.  This doesn't just work with our setups, it can be used with your own setup. It has two 32mm outer diameter tube connections to connect to your setup. We can also supply blockers for these entrances so you can have a natural vine, or equivalent, hanging into the pod for the ants to use (please read below for information about this) .

This is the second version of this dumping pod and it features a few upgrades versus the original. The main upgrade (in our opinion!) is that it now features three separate areas to add anti-escape fluid or oil onto. This could allow you to leave the lid off and have a vine or equivalent hanging into the pod for the ants to climb down, giving you that extra 'wow' factor with your setup. We have found a single barrier of mineral oil very effective, so a triple barrier can give you the peace of mind needed to leave the lid off.

Even though the lid has mesh for ventilation, there is still a chance of leakage without gluing if you allow the waste pile to build up. This is because the waste fungus and leaves can have a lot of moisture in them. We can supply this dumping pod flat-pack as per our new feeding pod, but we recommend you have it semi-constructed and glued by us to stop any potential leakage. You can also use some acrylic solvent to glue the pod yourself. Domestic shipping in the UK is fine for flat-pack or semi-constructed and glued, but for international orders, if you want it glued, you will need to contact us for shipping.

Connection

This pod comes with 32mm OD and 28mm ID Acrylic tube connectors on either side for expansion. These are clamped in place with screwable clips.
