Ant Outworld and Arena - Mini - Build Your Own

This is our first 'Build Your Own' product. The internal dimensions are identical to our Mini Outworld at 100mm x 100mm x 80mm (L x W x H). We are able to offer this outworld at an incredible price point due to the fact these Mini Outworld pieces are used to fill gaps when cutting other pieces on the laser cutter. At the moment, we have about 200 of these available at this price point, so when they are gone, they are gone.

This product comes flat pack and will need to be assembled, and should take no more than 15 minutes. Detailed instructions are provided.

The rim to add your PTFE fluid is slightly smaller than on the glued Mini Outworld so if you have a large species please be mindful that you might have to add the fluid to the sides of the outworld. During our tests, we have been able to construct this with no gaps, but some tiny gaps might be present when building yourself, so this might not be appropriate for tiny species. You should opt for one of our constructed and glued outworlds if this is the case.

You can connect this outworld directly to your ant nest, or you can connect it to our 4 Way Connectors V4 to allow for further expansion at a later date.

The outworld is made of strong 3mm clear Perspex for the sides, top, and lid. If you are going for a minimalistic outworld, this white base allows for a great view of your colony.

If you want to add a bed of sand or soil, or anything else, you can do so up to a depth of 3mm without it falling into the entrance of the outworld. Any substrate added should be bone dry, this outworld is not suitable for wet substrate.

The lid features air vents to allow for air circulation, and also a handle for easy removal. The lid sits snugly on the screws holding the 'top' of the outworld on, and this 'top' piece provides an excellent place to put your escape fluid on.  We recommend using something like PTFE fluid on the underside of the 'top' piece.

The outworld features our new V4 screw connector and is supplied with a PVC tube connector to connect to your other modules.
